BuildingtheSound:ADual-BrandDigitalExperienceforCAVEDIVER
Terry Edelman, the artist behind CAVE DIVER, needed a digital presence that could hold space for two distinct but interconnected identities: the grunge / space rock / post hardcore energy of his music career and the professional recording services of Space Jam Studio. As both a performing musician and a producer/engineer, he required a website solution that could serve audiences from both worlds (fans discovering his music and artists searching for recording services) without forcing either identity to compromise.
The challenge wasn't just technical; it was conceptual. How do you create a unified brand experience that honors the creative separation between artist and producer, while still acknowledging they're the same person?
OurApproach
FindingtheRightKey
We built a fully custom, dual-sided website that leverages two domains pointing to a single site with intelligent routing. When visitors land on cavedivermusic.com, they encounter the artist: moody visuals, music releases, and the creative world of CAVE DIVER. When they visit spacejamstudio.com, they're introduced to the studio: gear lists, service rates, client lists, and booking information for recording sessions.
The magic happens in the seamless transition between these two identities. A visitor can flip between the musician and producer sides of Terry's work without losing context, creating a complete picture of his creative ecosystem.
To bring the brand to life visually, we conducted a full photo shoot through Ry Marie Images, capturing the signature neon-lit studio aesthetic as well as location-based portraits, including one that became the cover art for his single "Gone." These images are woven throughout the site, creating visual continuity that extends from the website to CAVE DIVER's streaming and social media platforms.
The site was designed from scratch using custom code, allowing for precise control over animations, transitions, and the unique dual-domain structure. Every element (from the navigation to the color palette) was designed to feel cohesive while respecting the distinct focus of each brand.
OurApproach
PerfectHarmony
The final product gives Terry complete control over how he presents himself professionally. Musicians and industry contacts can explore Space Jam Studio's capabilities and book sessions, while fans can dive into CAVE DIVER's discography and connect with his music. The dual-domain structure creates natural separation without requiring separate websites, saving time and maintenance while delivering a premium, intentional brand experience.
The custom photography elevates the entire project, ensuring that every visual touchpoint (from the website to streaming platforms) feels authentically CAVE DIVER. It's a digital home that grows with Terry's career, designed to support both sides of his creative work without forcing either into the background.
